MRS. DELLA ROGERS DIES IN FLOYD HOSPITAL AT 77
Mrs. Della Phillips Rogers, 77 year old Kingston resident,
died in a Floyd county hospital Wednesday following a long illness.
She was a native of Bartow county and was born August 13,
1881, the daughter of the late James D. and Mary Jane Dabbs Phillips. Mrs. Rogers had spent most of her life in
Kingston. She was a member of the
Kingston Baptist Church.
Her husband, the late Owen H. Rogers, preceded her in death
in 1944.
Survivors include a son Phillips Rogers, Acworth; three
daughters, Mrs. Henry J. Cox, Cartersville; Mrs. J.A. Gallagher, Kingston; Mrs.
J.G. Watson, Atlanta; a brother J.J. Phillips, Birmingham, Ala.; and six
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the
Kingston Baptist Church. The Rev. James
C. D. McDaniel and the Rev. Walter Blackwell officiated at the last rites.
Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville under the
direction of the Owen Funeral Home.
