HARRY A DARLING DIES SATURDAY IN ROME HOSPITAL
Harry A. Darling, 84, of Adairsville died Saturday in a Rome
hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native of Lyconning County, Pa., and was born July
12, 1875, the son of the late Harry A. and Felina Shaw Darling.
Before his retirement, he was associated with the Domino
Sugar Refinery of Sumter, S.C. For the
past 12 years he had his home with his daughter, Mrs. John E. Dangler of Rte.
1, Adairsville.
Survivors include his wife, the former Evaline Hack; three sons,
Fred C.H. Darling, Fernandina Beach, Fla.; Charles F. Darling, San Mateo,
Calif., and Bruce Darling, Chattanooga, Tenn.; three daughters, Mrs. D.E.
Evans, College Park; Mrs. Fite Casey, Decatur; four sisters, Mrs. Mollie Moore,
Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; Mrs. Lillian Thomas, Clearfield, Pa., and nine
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of
the Barton Funeral Home. Mr. Will
Dangler officiated at the last rites.
Pallbearers were Fite Casey, B.B. Evans, John Dangler, Fred
Darling, Bruce Darling and Charles Darling. Interment was in East View Cemetery under the direction of Barton Funeral Home.
