GRADY DENNING BURIED IN ROME THURSDAY LAST WEEK
Grady Odell Denning, 55, of 18 Oak St., Rome, Celanese, died
unexpectedly at 9:15 a.m. Monday last week following an attack suffered while
at work.
Mr. Denning was born in Cartersville, July 18, 1903, son of
A.I. Denning and the late Sadie Sullins Denning, but had been a resident of
Rome for the past 20 years and during this time had been an employee of
Celanese. At the time of his death, he
was a mechanic in the Viscose Textile Maintenance Dept. He was a member of the Celanese Baptist
Church and the Men’s Bible Class.
Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Eunice Rebecca
Cowart, to whom he was married Dec. 7, 1934; one son, Aaron C. Denning; two
daughters, Mrs. W.T. Murchison and Mrs. Harold Holbert, all of Rome; father and
stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. A.I. Denning, Cartersville; two brothers, Walton
Denning, Cartersville and Cecil Denning of Wayon, Penn.; one sister, Mrs. Leon
Connie, Pittsburg PA., one half-brother, Thomas Denning, Cartersville; two
half-sisters, Mrs. Clay Pinyon and Mrs. Burl Cagle, both of Cartersville.
