HENRY O. JARRETT DIES MONDAY AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Henry O. Jarrett of Cartersville died at his home around
noon Monday following a lingering illness.
His age was 70.
A retired barber, Mr. Jarrett was born April 9, 1889, the
son of the late C.M. and Rita Mitchell Jarrett.
He had spent the greater part of his life in Bartow county. Mr. Jarrett was a Mason and a member of the Baptist church.
His wife, the former Effie Mae Boswell, preceded him in
death in 1958.
Surviving are three brothers, A.J. Jarrett, Atlanta; Cliff
Jarrett, Cartersville; Willie Jarrett, Ringgold; and a sister, Mrs. Woodrow
Fowler, Cartersville. Several nieces and
nephews also survive.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2:30 at the Friendship
Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert W. Rhyne
and the Rev. Walter Adams officiated at the last rites.
Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction
of the Owen Funeral Home.
